This is my UX/UI process for a real state Native app design

I believe it is important to begin a project with clear goals and alignment for the team. In order to do that, I make sure these main questions are answered:

WHAT

What is our goal?

 Create an app that makes it easy for brokers to list their properties, promote them, and connect with interested buyers (leads) while they are away from their desktops.

HOW

How are we going to measure success?

20% more engagement between brokers and leads. 10% increase in sales.

WHO

Who are our users?

Empathy

In the empathy stage, I look at any data that we have collected in order to understand our users and/ or conduct user research.


In this case we have some analytics. Here is the summary from those findings:

 

  • Desktop engagement decreases as the week goes by. We do not know why.

  • Website mobile engagement decreases a little bit but remains consistent through the week.

  • Average of pages per session is very similar for mobile and desktop, which might mean that users are consuming information similarly on desktop and mobile.

  • Number of pages per session stays pretty much the same throughout the week.

Personas

After these findings I identified other research that I would like to conduct

 

  • Analytics on most used tools on the website in order to find out what information users are requesting the most.

  • Data from customer service that will help us map out how users are utilizing the website.

  • Ethnographic observation study and/or diary study to figure out user journeys.

Matt the Broker

Busy person on the go
Wants to close more deals in a more efficient way.

Pain Points:

  • Difficulty tracking communications with interested parties while away from desktop.

  • Slow response from clients if an update is sent through the website.

  • Tired of managing multiple applications to communicate and do transactions.

  • Not enough visibility for real time updates on new properties in order to promote them faster.

  • Difficulty coordinating with clients’ schedules for property tours.    

Other Apps Used:

  • DocuSign and DotLoop: for paperwork that needs to be signed

  • ClientLookCRM: contact management

  • Outlook: communications with clients
